In my 30+ Years of Teaching Experience I have found that Pastel Pencils is the by far the easiest art medium to pick up and learn.
In this course you will learn how to use just 6 pastel pencils to create an AMAZING Tabby Cat Portrait.
This course is designed for all levels including absolute beginners.
We provide you with an outline drawing so that you do not have to draw free hand. Trace this through to your paper or print it straight out using your printer.
With everything that’s going on around the world with COVID-19, we feel that art and creativity is more important than ever. Art is a wonderful form of meditation and escapism from traumatic and challenging times.
Science has proven the benefits of drawing, it’s not just the act of creating in itself, but the feel good feeling of creating something you’re proud of, that helps your mind and body.
Whatever situation you’re in right now (quarantine etc), if you have the urge to pick up a pencil, we’re here.
So, for the foreseeable future we’re offering this new Tabby Cat course FREE to anyone that wants to give drawing a go. Share with your family and friends – anyone that you feel could benefit from drawing.
Whether you’re an artist eager for a new art project or someone that’s never picked up a pencil before, this course is for you.
What you need:
To draw this picture you only need 6 pastel pencils and any pastel paper of your choosing (we recommend Fabriano Ingres Paper). We’ve provided an outline drawing which you can print to pastel paper without needing to draw free hand.
We’ve also got written instructions which you can download and follow along with the video if you prefer to follow these instead.
The 6 pencils I use are Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. The colours are:
182 brown ochre
187 burnt ochre
